Crooks Pull Off ‘Mission Impossible’-Style Heist And Steal $100K In Apple Electronics

Thieves cut a hole in the roof of a Best Buy in Georgia and then rappelled into the store to steal $100,000 in Apple products. The Mission Impossible-style heist took place in the city of Dunwoody, Georgia, which is about 17 miles north of Atlanta.

On June 8th, the Best Buy bandits drilled a hole into the ceiling of a locked storage room and then descended into the closed store like they were Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible. The crooks stole tens of thousands of dollars worth of iPhones, iPads, MacBook computers, and other electronics. Dunwoody Police don’t believe the criminals had as sophisticated equipment such as Ethan Hunt.

No arrests have yet been made. While this $100K robbery is huge, it isn’t the largest Apple heist of all-time. That dubious distinction happened last November when thieves three “husky” men stole over 300 iPhone X handsets from a UPS truck driver in San Francisco. That heist was estimated to be worth a value of $370,000.
