Like it or not, MoviePass is on its deathbed. On Tuesday, the movie service announced massive changes including raising the monthly price and not allowing their customers to use their MoviePass to see new blockbuster movies. The internet reacted to the price hike with fury and funny jabs on Twitter.
Twitter roasted MoviePass with their usual snark and wittiness. However, many were genuinely sad to see the demise of the extremely generous company with seemingly zero business sense. Here are the best internet reactions and memes to the imminent downfall of MoviePass.

I got MoviePass for Christmas, and I've seen about $150 of movies on it, so the gift was worthwhile, but the amount of entertainment I've gotten following their insane and terrible business model – essentially "let's lose a fortune for no reason" – is priceless.

I will not tolerate a single bad word about MoviePass. It took money from a bunch of VC firms and transferred it to people who loved going to the movies. It was cinematic altruism and if this is the end I’ll look back on our time together fondly.
