Netflix should just change their name to Netflex because that’s all they do these days: flex on people.
Their latest flex comes in the form of a live event, as the streaming giant has announced their first-ever comedy festival: Netflix Is A Joke Fest.
The 7-day-long festival — which will feature performances from stand-up comedians such as Dave Chappelle, David Letterman, Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock, Bill Burr, Kevin Hart, Amy Schumer, Jamie Foxx, Martin Lawrence, Ali Wong, Sebastian Maniscalco, and more — is set to take place in Los Angeles, California from Monday, April 27 to Sunday, May 3. In addition to Netflix, the festival is also produced by Live Nation.
Luckily, you don’t have to physically be at the festival to enjoy the performances, as a handful of the performances will be recorded to air on Netflix at a later date. So far, the following performances have been confirmed as being recorded, according to Collider:
-The Hall: Honoring the Greats of Stand-Up
-STAND OUT: An LGBTQ+ celebration at The Greek Theatre
-That’s My Time with David Letterman
-Netflix Is A Joke at The Palladium Hosted by Jamie Foxx
-Netflix Is A Joke at The Palladium Hosted by Amy Schumer
