Working as a beverage cart girl sounds like an easy job—until you factor in the heat, the uneven pay, and the constant comments from men who are not so funny at their best and inappropriate at their worst.
A few content creators have taken to showing exactly what the job looks like. One of them, based in North Carolina, Sara (@sararara_04), films the job as it happens, documenting the types of jokes she hears daily.
Woman Shows What A Day As A Beverage Cart Worker Looks Like
Sara shared a TikTok video walking viewers through a typical day in the cart. The video got more than 121,000 views and dozens of comments reacting to how customers interacted with her.
It opens with a man asking if they take cards. When she says yes, he orders a transfusion—a cocktail of vodka, ginger ale, and grape juice that’s popular on the green.
The next clip cuts to a gator by the lake. “Look at him,” she says, sounding genuinely delighted.
Then the jokes start.
The Jokes Keep Coming
In one interaction, a man asks for a White Claw and tells her, “It’s 50 cents today.” Sara answers with a smile, “That’d be nice, wouldn’t it?”
Later, a different man asks what food she has. Sara lists off her standard items: sandwiches, crackers, chips, and peanuts. He fires back with a fake order: “I want a Filet-O-Fish, small fry, and a chocolate shake.” Sara doesn’t miss a beat: “You might need to go to McDonald’s for that one.”
Another guy yells out, “Two Ultras… before we die,” and someone else hypes her up from the cart with, “You riding around right, honey.”
Things take a flirty turn when a man tries to guess her name and background. “You pronounce your name ‘Saarah’? You’re Egyptian, right? Are you from Cairo?”
At one point, her cart starts to drift when she steps off. In the caption, she explained: “We got new carts so I no longer have to fight with the brake… more to come!”
Golf Cart Girl TikTok Is Officially A Thing
Sara’s video joins a growing genre of beverage “cart girl” content on TikTok. In another viral post, a worker said golfers often ignore her altogether or shoo her away with their hands rather than just saying “no thanks.”
One creator said she doesn’t mind the gig, but people need to stop acting like it’s a free-for-all to bring their own drinks.
Sara doesn’t complain in her video, but commenters definitely noticed how much she puts up with.
Commenters Think The Jokes Are Terrible, But The Job Looks Fun
“I feel bad for all the corny ‘jokes’ you hear,” one person wrote. “But you’re doing amazing.”
“This looks like the funnest job ever,” another said.

“Last part had me giggling,” someone else added. “You have some sweet customers out there.”
One former worker shared their own experience: “I used to be a cocktail server at the club and made real good money with regulars because I’m personable. I wish there were cart girl jobs near me.”
