LSU Gymnast and Social Media Star Olivia Dunne is entering the mainstream. No longer is her fame contained to a niche sport and social media apps designed for teenagers.

But, on those social media apps, she’s huge. Olivia Dunne has over 7.4 million followers on TikTok and another 4 million on Instagram, and she’s one of the most-followed female athletes in the world.

It’s easy to see why.

And yes, she’s more than just a blonde with flirty posts. She was an NCAA All-American on the uneven bars in 2021 as a freshman, but has battled injuries the last two seasons for one of the best women’s gymnastics programs in the country.

All of this has helped her enter the mainstream. Olivia Dunne has been in commercials for clothing company Vuori during the NBA playoff that you have surely seen. And, she’s in the 2023 edition of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, that is on shelves now.

But, she went even more mainstream on Thursday when she visited the New York Stock Exchange, the world’s preeminent financial market.

Picture this. You’re a 23-year-old first-year trader at one of the big firms in New York. You’ve worked 80 hours in the past five days, haven’t had a home-cooked meal in a year, and the only thing you have to look forward to is going to the bar Texas Arizona in Hoboken. All of a sudden, in the midst of another day making people much richer than you lots of money, you look up, and there’s Olivia Dunne. What a welcome sight that must have been.

Anyway, back to work.
