N.O.R.E. has been a major figure in the New York City hip-hop scene ever since he teamed up with Capone to drop The War Report when he was still known as “Noreaga” back in 1996. He’s changed his name and music style along the way and after a couple of decades, and now it appears he’s decided to try his hand at something slightly different by taking on the role of food tourist as the host of the new First We Feast series On the Run Eatin’.

The series follows the rapper and his crew as they travel from city to city to stop by a number of culinary establishments with a special focus on ones with a connection to the world of hip-hop. The squad decided to head to Atlanta for the first episode, where they met up with regional legends Big Boi and CeeLo Green to sample what the city is dishing out.

If you’re familiar with the oeuvre of 2 Chainz or a fan of Atlanta, you’re probably more than aware of the legendary status of lemon-pepper wings (preferably wet), but as you’ll see, that’s far from the only thing the city has to offer.

If you’ve ever wanted to buy a $300 seafood platter at a place frequented by the members of Outkast (as well as Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston back in their happier days), then make sure to stop by Spondivits the next time you’re in Atlanta.

However, if this episode proves anything, it’s that you haven’t gotten the true ATL experience until you’ve licked some wing sauce off of your fingers while a stripper at Magic City twerks in your face.
