MASSIVE Paper Mill Explosion Is Accompanied By The Best Trucker Commentary You’ll Hear Today

Wow. First, nobody was hurt, so thank goodness. Not sure if that’s because the paper mill was empty due to the pandemic but if so, a silver lining I suppose. With that said, KABOOOOOOOOM! That thing kept building too, like a chili pepper. Even so, I’d give it an A- without the commentary, but it really is an A+ with those truckers calling the play.

“Fuckin’ mill just blew up!”

“Ho-ly fahk.”

“Fahk.”

“She blewd to shit.”

Disclaimer: as a Mainer, I’m biased. But I truly think the Maine accent is one of the greatest accents in America. It’s not a Boston accent, no sir. It’s just a littttttle north of that, a little cozier. Full of wood chips and tar and the salty air of the ocean. Not at all full of itself, unlike some of those Boston boys. Sure, Southie has its pride, but let’s not forget that Boston plays home to Harvard, MIT, and 37 other decent colleges. The place is crawling with the children of the educated elite, and it seeps into their way of talking.

Not so in Maine. Education and talking good don’t make it this far north. Especially up in Jay, Maine, which is in the middle of nowhere. And I mean NOWHERE. Ask a resident of Jay where Jay is, and they’ll just shrug and tell you not to worry about it.

Maine’s biggest celebrity Stephen King had a little fun with it:

Alright Steve, maybe stick to terrifying the shit out of us. Is he saying you’ll have to wipe with magazine pages now? That’s a bleeding anus waiting to happen. How about a takeout menu instead? That paper is much more forgiving.

In any case, thanks to these truckers for their dynamic commentary. Wouldn’t mind hearing them read a bedtime story sometime soon.
