Tory Lanez is once again proclaiming his innocence after getting stabbed in prison. Earlier this week, Lanez, who is serving 10 years in prison for shooting at his then-girlfriend Megan Thee Stallion, was stabbed 14 times at a California prison.

“Tory was stabbed 14 times, including 7 wounds to his back, 4 to his torso, 2 to the back of his head, and 1 to the left side of his face. Both of his lungs collapsed, and he was placed on a breathing apparatus”

On Wednesday, Lanez’s lawyers claimed that they were set to present new evidence in his case that could exonerate him in the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion days before he was stabbed.

Lanez’s legal team, Unite The People, claims Kelsey Harris’ bodyguard, Bradley James, admits hearing Harris admit that she pulled the trigger and shot Megan on the night in question.

“Mr. James informed Unite The People that he was witness to the conversation Ms. Harris had where she stated she had the gun, she fired it three times,” Roberts shared with reporters. “Mr. Peterson (Lanez) grabbed her arm and knocked it down and the gun fired two more times. In essence, Mr. Peterson never shot anybody…never even touched that gun. Never fired the gun.”

Lanez’s legal team believes there’s a correlation between the new evidence being released and their client getting stabbed.

“When evidence was about to come to light, Tory was nearly killed.”

On Wednesday afternoon, Lanez released a Change.org petition asking California Governor Gavin Newsom to pardon him.

As Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. warned, “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” This is one of those moments.

We respectfully call on Governor Newsom to:

Grant a full pardon to Tory Lanez
Remove politically motivated sentencing enhancements
Order a full and impartial review of the case to ensure no one else is subjected to a similar injustice

The petition has already garnered over 70k signatures in just a few hours.
