Pat McAfee stars as a drill instructor in the Netflix film 'The Mosquito Bowl'
The nuclear power plant that is the Pat McAfee content machine is reaching criticality. After sports fans had already believed they’d reached the maximum possible exposure to the former Colts punter, Netflix went ahead and dropped first-look photos of him in The Mosquito Bowl.
Earlier this week, Netflix dropped the first look at Pat McAfee in the upcoming film The Mosquito Bowl, which follows four of America’s top college football stars who set their fame aside to enlist in the Marines after the attack on Pearl Harbor.

McAfee is set to play the role of a US Marine Drill Instructor in film, which was directed by Friday Night Lights, Hancock and Lone Survivor filmmaker Peter Berg.
Given how much McAfee permeates sports and media culture these days, though, people were seemingly less than thrilled at the prospect of MORE McAfee.

“It was a mind blowing honor to be asked to represent the toughest of the tough and the greatest of the great. The true pinnacle of a badass. What I learned was that a DI in the Marine Corps is the actual keeper of the Marines culture,” McAfee tweeted about the role.
“They mold boys and girls into war ready men and women. I did not take any of it lightly. It was an honor of a lifetime to learn about the Corps and tried my best to do these super human’s justice.”
The Mosquito Bowl stars Nicholas Galitzine, Bill Skarsgård, Ray Nicholson, and Tom Francis in the leading roles and will be released on Netflix on November 25.
