Following the release of WandaVision — if you count his appearances as JARVIS in the first few Iron Man movies — Paul Bettany became the first actor to appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe across three decades. That’s right: he voiced JARVIS in Iron Man back in 2008 before becoming the android Vision in 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, a role he’s maintained through 2021’s WandaVision.

While WandaVision — which is very much a sitcom through its first two episodes — is unlike any MCU project Bettany has done before, he promises that the series will ultimately reach the “epic” Marvel ending we’ve all come to expect, know, and love.

REVIEW: ‘WandaVision’ Is As Good As You Allow It To Be

“Episode by episode, week by week, Vision begins to really realize something is not right about this. Something is not right about this town. And then the MCU that we all collide in the most epic of endings,” Bettany told Collider.

He also talked about how you’ll look at the whole MCU in a new light when the series is over and teases a mysterious actor joining the series, telling Collider, “I get to work with this actor that is a total secret. I have been longing to work with and act with [them] for years and I finally got to and it was amazing. Fireworks exploded and it was great.”

As we already know, WandaVision is set to tie directly into the events of Spider-Man 3 and Doctor Strange In the Multiverse of Madness, which means we could see the unleashing of the multiverse in the MCU towards the end of the season.
