Paul Rudd — having made his feature film debut in 1995’s cult classic Clueless — is going on his fourth decade as respected staple of Hollywood, both as a comedic and dramatic actor. His apparently Peter Pan-like inability to show notable signs of aging has likely played a role in that longevity.
The rate, or lack thereof, at which Paul Rudd ages has become so ubiquitous among pop culture fans that it’s become a meme, perhaps the truest sign of an actor’s permanence and cultural relevance. Rudd, born on April 6, 1969, is 57 years old, for what it’s worth.

Rudd is clearly aware of those in-jest debates about how old he actually is as he addressed them in a recent feature interview with The Hollywood Reporter ahead of the release of his new musical comedy drama film Power Ballad, which has opened to a surprising and promising 87% critics and 86% audience score ahead of its release in theaters on Friday, June 5.
“For the first time in Rudd’s life, he had to get into Marvel shape, which meant ‘cutting out anything enjoyable,’ diet-wise, and a punishing exercise regimen. The results played into a popular narrative that Rudd seems to be aging in reverse.”
“I’m beginning to look like I could be his mum,” says Olivia Colman, who’s five years his junior. “It’s really f—— annoying, and he won’t share his secrets.” (Rudd insists he has none: “I’m a withering 80-year-old man on the inside,” he jokes, “and I’m catching up on the outside, too.”)
Coming off Death of a Unicorn and Anaconda in 2025, this year sees Rudd star in Power Ballad, Rain Reign (premiering at the Tribeca Film Festival this weekend), and the highly-anticipated Avengers: Doomsday.
