The Pentagon released its fourth batch of declassified UFO files on Friday. Among the files are 14 documents, 19 videos, four audio files, and three images. They also include records from a 1949 Los Alamos conference about green fireballs.

One transcript reveals that in the late 1940s, leading physicists at the Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory, including Drs. Edward Teller, Bradbury, and Lincoln LaPaz, a meteor specialist, were dealing with an inexplicable event. According to witness reports from airline pilots, federal agents, and military personnel, bright green objects flew horizontally across the sky.

In the transcript, Dr. LaPaz informed the group that he had personally seen something that was “most certainly not a conventional meteorite fall.” He described a fireball that broke into “bright green” bits after appearing “in full intensity instantly.” He said it traveled on a nearly horizontal route and maintained continuous brightness.

LaPaz said he could not find examples of conventional meteorites behaving this way “anywhere among meteorists.” He also stressed that the objects’ lack of sound was “the most implausible feature of all.”

A UFO encounter over a nuclear weapons site near Amarillo

A UFO’s entrance into the airspace over Pantex, a nuclear weapons site near Amarillo, Texas, is described in another Energy Department file from September 2015. Two witnesses recalled pursuing the object while the nuclear site was under lockdown.

“Although they were unable to catch up to the object, they stopped their vehicle and got out. Once outside, they noted that the object did not make any sound. Furthermore, the [witnesses] stated that they were unable to identify any type of propulsion system on the object while using binoculars to assess the object,” the report said. “After viewing it for 1-2 minutes, the object then continued north offsite.”

The UFO proceeded without any visible signs of propulsion before disappearing. Sandia National Laboratories examined the surveillance footage and sent the FBI all of the evidence.

A jellyfish-like UFO over the Atlantic Ocean

Videos displaying infrared imagery taken by military cameras are also included in the declassified documents. The images depict mysterious items and encounters from the Middle East, the Atlantic, and the western Pacific Ocean.

One of those files is 32 seconds of infrared footage from 2020 that shows a dark, jellyfish-like UFO around 12 to 15 feet tall floating over the Atlantic Ocean. Its maroon hue and balloon-like appearance were described by witnesses as it moved with the wind, exhibiting no autonomous motion.

Much like the first three batches of declassified UFO files that have been released by the Pentagon, all of the new documents can be viewed on the U.S. Department of War website.
