Sony
In the 1980s, Nintendo and Sega were largely responsible for taking video games to the next level with consoles like the NES and Genesis that helped usher in a new era of gaming.
However, it was only a matter of time before Sony pulled a Fresh Prince and turned the industry upside down with the introduction of the PlayStation, a revolutionary console that managed to set itself apart with an extensive library of games and equally impressive graphics.
Well, at least for the time.
The original PlayStation came to the United States in 1995 (a year before the N64 was launched) and quickly set itself apart from the pack thanks to titles like Twisted Metal and Resident Evil, which taught players games could be played in more than two dimensions.
The PlayStation has gone through a few iterations over the past couple of decades, but despite the advances in technology, I still have a soft spot in my heart for the games that helped put it on the scene in the first place.
Nintendo successfully tapped into the retro market a couple of years ago with the NES Classic, a throwback console that was basically a time machine back to the early 90s.
Now, Sony is getting in on the game in the form of the newly announced PlayStation Classic, which is the only thing I’m putting on my Christmas list this year.

On Wednesday, the company announced the upcoming release of a time capsule of their own, which will come preloaded with 20 games that helped the PlayStation become such a force to be reckoned with.
A full list hasn’t been released, but it will include titles like Ridge Racer Type 4, Final Fantasy VII, and the fighting classic Tekken 3 (among others).
However, at least one person has some theories about the other games that could be included.
What games do you want to see on the PlayStation classic? 5 titles were already shown… Here's a fair list I'd like to see…

The PlayStation Classic comes with two controllers and will retail for $99.99 when it hit stores on December 3rd.
Let the countdown begin.
