The Internet Is Falling In Love With Pom Klementieff Following Scene-Stealing ‘M:I 7’ Role

Of all the elements in Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One — other than Tom Cruise’s commitment to filming his own insane stunts, of course — one that seems to be receiving particular praise is Pom Klementieff’s performance as Paris.

Although the character barely speaks in the film, the new addition to the franchise obviously made a massive impression on fans as there are now tons of viral tweets that highlight her performance as one of the best parts of the movie.

As for how she crafted her performance, Klementieff told Variety that she was inspired by the works of Quentin Tarantino, Jackie Chan, Bruce Lee, Jean-Paul Belmondo, Clint Eastwood, and Takeshi Kitano.

“Quentin Tarantino is one of my favorite directors, so of course I always watch Kill Bill. I watched movies with Bruce Lee, with Jackie Chan and some French movies as well, because it was not just about the fight and the physicality — it was also the way the character walks,” Klementieff explained.

“I was inspired by movies with Jean-Paul Belmondo to find a cockiness to the character. And movies with Clint Eastwood, Takeshi Kitano, all these beautiful characters that barely speak but convey so many emotions as well.”

In addition to her scene-stealing role as Paris in Dead Reckoning Part One, one of Klementieff’s interviews from the press junket is going viral, as she hilariously followed the commands of her co-star Simon Pegg, who was secretly speaking to her through an earpiece unbeknownst to the interviewer.

Alongside Klementieff, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One also added fellow scene-stealer Hayley Atwell to the cast as Grace, a professional pickpocket and the newest member of the Impossible Mission Force team.

Dead Reckoning Part One also stars Tom Cruise, Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg, Esai Morales, Ving Rhames, Vanessa Kirby, Shea Whigham, and more.  You can check out the official trailer for the film, which is currently playing in movie theaters across the United States, below.
