Priyanka Chopra Jonas is set to star in one of the biggest projects of her career and she’ll be featuring alongside Richard Madden and Stanely Tucci in the flashy new Prime Video series Citadel.

With a reported budget in the neighborhood of $300 million, the series is a global-scale spy series described by Amazon as an “action-packed spy series with a compelling emotional center” and “an expansive and groundbreaking global event comprising a mothership series and several local language satellite series.”

Citadel, which has already been renewed for a second season, was executive-produced by Avengers: Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo. Given the massive investment that’s been made and the planet-trotting plans that Amazon has for the series, its preemptive renewal certainly shouldn’t come as a surprise.

Set to premiere on Friday, April 28, stars Richard Madden, Stanely Tucci, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas have begun their global press tour, with Chopra racking up tons of likes over on her Instagram page for obvious reasons.

The first season of Citadel will consist of six episodes. In addition to Chopra, Madden, and Tucci, Citadel also stars Lesley Manville, Osy Ikhile, Ashleigh Cummings, Roland Moller, Caoilinn Springall, and more.

After originally getting her start in Bollywood projects, Chopra began to break through with American audiences when she began starring in the ABC series Quantico from 2015 to 2018, which made her the first South Asian woman to headline a network series in the United States.

From there, she’d go on to star in further Hollywood films such as the 2017 remake of Baywatch alongside The Rock and Zac Efron, A Kid Like Jake, Isn’t It Romantic, The Sky Is Pink, We Can Be Heroes, The White Tiger, and The Matrix Resurrections.
