With just a few weeks left until this year’s NFL Draft, many of the draft’s top prospects have lined up visits with teams they could potentially end up playing for.

However, it seems there is one highly regarded wide receiver that has still yet to line up a visit with a single team.

According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, North Carolina receiver Josh Downs hasn’t set up a single official visit yet.

Meanwhile, other top receiver prospects like Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Jordan Addison, and Quentin Johnston have all taken multiple visits.

Downs was a standout receiver at North Carolina. Over the course of his 3 seasons with the Tar Heels, Downs racked up 202 catches for 2483 yards and 22 touchdowns.

DFF Dynasty also revealed yesterday that Downs excels in one analytic metric that could indicate he’s headed for a successful career. Downs’ best season receiving yards per team pass attempt was the highest of all of this year’s receiver prospects.

It is certainly odd to see a player with such a strong profile not getting visits with teams who should be interested in him as a 2nd round pick.

The Giants, Ravens, Chiefs, Bears, Texans, Titans, Panthers, and Patriots should all find themselves looking to add a receiver in the draft and there are only so many that should be taken ahead of Downs.

There are still a few weeks for teams to set up visits with Downs before the draft, but the clock is winding down for them to get time with the promising receiver.
