Microsoft unveiled trailers for some exciting new video games on Sunday at their E3 2018 presentation including Halo Infinite, Fallout 76, Crackdown 3, Forza Horizon 4, and Kingdom Hearts 3. Now we get seven minutes of awesome Rage 2 footage from Bethesda Softworks’ E3 2018 showcase.
Rage 2 is what you get when you mix Doom, Borderlands, and Mad Max. The open-world game from Avalanche Studios is set in a post-apocalyptic world where anything goes. Avalanche Studios game director Magnus Nedfors says Rage 2 is “the most open-world shooter you have ever played.” Those are some lofty promises to fulfill, but if the video is any indication, this will be a tremendous game.
The Mad Max-like, extreme punk world shows a dystopian future where society has fallen into complete chaos. You’ll drive crazy vehicles in the desert where mutants are hunting you down. There will even be vehicle-to-vehicle combat so you had better keep your head on a swivel.
Rage 2 follows the story of Walker, the last ranger in the wasteland. He has been left for dead and is tasked with locating a rare artifact that will help take down The Authority. Rage 2 smashes into a gaming console near you in Spring of 2019.
