Robert Pattinson says filming 'The Batman: Part II' is "significantly harder" than the first
Robert Pattinson is hard at work on The Batman: Part II, the highly anticipated sequel to Matt Reeves’ 2022 film The Batman. According to Pattinson, it’s a “significantly” harder shoot than the previous movie.
2026 has been an insanely busy year for Robert Pattinson. He’s already starred in the films The Drama and The Odyssey, still has Primetime — which could see him contend for an Academy Award for Best Actor — and Dune: Part Three due out later this year.

Part of the reason Pattinson has been able to star in so many projects is the delay in production on The Batman: Part II, which was originally scheduled to release in October 2025 and is now dated for February 2028.
“I’m in London here till the end of the year doing a Batman sequel. It’s good. I’m definitely feeling my age when fighting a lot,” Pattinson said in an interview with GQ.
“I’m literally like, ‘Goddamn, this is significantly harder than it used to be.’ But it’s really fun. And I think the movie’s going to be pretty great. It’s got a really, really fun cast, but it’s a marathon.”
After multiple delays, The Batman: Part II began filming this summer and is now scheduled to hit theaters on February 18, 2028.
In addition to Pattinson reprising his role as the Dark Knight, The Batman: Part II also stars Jeffrey Wright, Andy Serkis, Colin Farrell, Sebastian Stan, Scarlett Johansson, and Charles Dance.
Pattinson will next be seen starring as Chris Hansen in the Lance Oppenheim film Primetime, which will be released in theaters by A24 on Friday, September 25.
