Shopping in bulk can help save money on groceries, but one Sam’s Club member says he regretted his latest meat purchase at the wholesale retailer.
In his video, which has gotten over 640,700 views, TikTok creator and online food reviewer Eze Miller (@ezemiller001) says this particular food review won’t be a positive one.
“You’re gonna want to see this if you shop at Sam’s Club,” he begins.
Miller explains that whenever lamb chops are on sale at Sam’s Club, the family buys and freezes them for later use. This time, however, there was something wrong with them.
What Was Wrong With The Sam’s Club Lamb Chops?
“When I pulled the lamb chops off at 145 degrees,” he says as the camera gets closer to the tray with the lamb chops in it. “Worms.”
Several long white strips seem to be coming out of the meat. “So a negative 10, of course,” he says. “Evidently, we’re ordering out tonight.”
Commenters Aren’t That Surprised
In the comments section, it appears that most viewers don’t think this was an isolated incident.
“I’m so disgusted by all foods these days!!!!” one user exclaimed.
“Ever since trump defunded the fda food has never been the same,” chimed in another, referring to last year’s budget cuts for the agency.
“Sam’s Club is Walmart,” wrote a third. “I don’t trust them.”
A fourth commenter added another perspective. “Most living things have parasites, including us,” they wrote.
Has This Happened To Other Sam’s Club Members?
The warehouse retailer is beloved for perks like frequent sales, gas cashback, an accessible pharmacy, and more.
However, according to a report by Mashed, members may not be lining up at the Sam’s Club meat counter. According to the publication, the chain’s meat quality can be “hit or miss.”
Other customers have previously shared complaints about questionable meat purchases from Sam’s Club.
For example, one Facebook user filmed a piece of Sam’s Club salmon from up close, showing it swarming with little white worms. Another Reddit user claimed the boneless ribs he ordered online arrived with a “rotten smell.” They reported tossing the entire bulk order.

What Should You Do If You Find Worms In Meat?
If you believe that your food has been contaminated in any way, it’s best to discard it. According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), “When in doubt, throw it out.”
The agency also recommends reporting any food contamination incidents, as doing so can prevent others in the community from contracting foodborne illnesses.
For meat products, consumers can call the USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline or report the issue through a complaint form online.
In order for an investigation to take place, however, consumers must keep the original container, any foreign object they discovered in the product, and any refrigerated or frozen uneaten portion of the food.
