In case you missed it, and I hope that you did for your sake, the Emmys were held Sunday night and Shailene Woodley was on hand as the Divergent star received her first-ever nomination for her role as Jane Chapman in HBO’s Big Little Lies.
Of course Shailene Woodley wouldn’t be Shailene Woodley if she didn’t say something that made people scratch their heads. After all this is the same woman who has talked about suntanning her vagina, her boobs shrinking and high schools teaching masturbation.
So while talking to E! News Sunday night, the 25-year-old Woodley, who was, as I mentioned, up for an Emmy, basically dissed TV when she was asked what shows she likes: “I technically don’t have a home anywhere so I don’t have a place in which to put a TV. All my friends who watch TV, I just ask them when they have time to? I’m a reader.”
Naturally, that turned answer Twitter into eye-roll city.
Not that any of that mattered to me. Celebrity opinions on anything shouldn’t matter to anyone. I just enjoyed the irony and how much she slayed with the green dress she chose to match with her cool new blonde ‘do.
