Every once in a while, I come across a television show with a certain, indescribable essence that no summary or synopsis can really do justice; the kind of program where your best bet is to tell someone to “Just watch it” and let the series speak for itself.

That was the sales pitch that led to me watching Letterkenny and the one I’ve since relied on to get other people to hop on the evergrowing bandwagon that’s hitched to the sitcom that tracks the trials and tribulations of the eccentric residents of a fictional small town in Ontario, Canada.

Over the course of ten seasons, Letterkenny has managed to build that following thanks to some of the sharpest writing and expertly-executed absurdism you can currently find on television in addition to an amazing cast of characters from all walks of life united by the at times indecipherable slang that peppers almost every sentence they utter.

While the two siblings who operate a small farm and a couple of friends that help them are technically Letterkenny’s protagonists, they’re constantly orbited by the titular town’s other denizens—including a couple of hilarious hockey players who serve as conduits into the fascinating ecosystem of the small teams that play in an equally tiny town.

That ecosystem is also home to Shoresy, a fellow hockey bro known for the masterful chirps he’s delivered in a falsetto voice over the course of a series where he’s never shown his face a single time.

The primary reason Shoresy is Letterkenny‘s version of Home Improvement‘s Wilson is that he’s played by Jared Keeso, who also portrays Wayne.

However, that long-running gag has finally come to an end now that Shoresy has gotten his own eponymous series that’s slated to debut on Hulu in the spring, as we got our first look at the show—and his visage—in a teaser trailer that dropped on Monday.

While that teaser doesn’t reveal a ton when it comes to what we can expect when Shoresy premieres, Collider reports the cast will feature a number of former pro hockey players who were primarily known for their physical prowess,  including Jon “Nasty” Mirasty, Andrew Antsanen, and Terry Ryan.

Pitter patter.
