In case you needed another reminder, 50-year-old Sofia Vergara is living proof that age is just a number, as there remains virtually no one on earth who can match high heat when she decides to break it out.
And breaking out the high heat is certainly what she did for a recent social media post to promote her sunscreen line “toty”, which saw the Modern Family star showing off in a skimpy black bikini. At the time of this writing, the post has racked up over 1.2 million likes on Instagram and over 64,000 likes on Twitter.
This definitely isn’t the first time that Vergara has dropped jaws with a photo on social media, as she currently has over 29 million followers on Instagram.
While Vergara is best known for playing Gloria Delgado-Pritchett on the ABC sitcom Modern Family from 2009 to 2020, Vergara has also appeared in films such as Four Brothers, Meet the Browns, Madea Goes to Jail, New Year’s Eve, The Three Stooges, Machete Kills, Fading Gigolo, Chef, Hot Pursuit, Happy Feet Two, Escape from Planet Earth, and The Emoji Movie.
For her work on Modern Family, one of the most acclaimed comedy shows of the 2000s, Vergara was nominated for four Golden Globe Awards, four Emmy Awards, and eleven Screen Actors Guild Awards.
Prior to her career as an actress, Vergara gained recognition as a model and a host on the Spanish TV network Univision, where she hosted two different shows.
In 2015, Vergara married fellow actor Joe Manganiello, who is best known for performances in Spider-Man, True Blood, Magic Mike, and Justice League.
Vergara’s next part will be a voice role in the upcoming comedy Strays, which also features Will Ferrell, Jamie Foxx, Will Forte, Isla Fisher, Randall Park, Josh Gad, Harvey Guillén, Rob Riggle, Brett Gelman, and Jamie Demetriou. The film will hit theaters in the United States on Friday, August 18.
