ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith Offers A Surprise Take On Taylor Swift’s Legendary Eras Tour

Everybody who’s anybody has seemingly attending a show during Taylor Swift‘s legendary Eras.

That includes, perhaps surprisingly, ESPN superstar Stephen A. Smith.

Now, Smith isn’t exactly in the target demographic for Swift’s music. And we’re not sure we’re quite yet ready to label him as a Swiftie.

But the Eras Tour has officially reached cultural phenomenon status, to the point where if you’re not there, you’re truly missing out.

And so Smith not only went to one of Swift’s shows, he also apparently paid a pretty penny to do so.

“Let’s get the obvious out of the way. He could do a lot worse,” Smith said in a First Take segment discussing rumors of Swift dating Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce.

“I mean, Taylor Swift got it going on,” he continued. “…I’m dead serious about this. That concert was off the chain…I went to the concert, because my daughters were driving me crazy. Now, I’ve never went to a Beyonce concert. Because, Jay Z’s my man, so when I go to a concert with him, Kanye, all of that stuff. But I’ve never been to a Beyonce concert. Now, Beyonce is the queen, you understand. Nobody, I mean nobody comes before Beyonce.

“…But Mina, I’m talking to Mina right here, I had to go see it for myself. Because my daughters, they hoodwinked me, man. They made me promise I was gonna treat them to the concert and they had 10 friends with ’em! It was $2,000 (per ticket). I spent $20,000 on Taylor Swift tickets! I had to see it for myself. And then I went…I went to that concert, Damien (Woody). I said ‘d***!’ It was off the chain.”

Not a single lie was told.

Now, this isn’t the first time Smith talked about his Tay Tay concert experience. A month ago, he called Swift “the greatest” on his podcast shortly after attending her show.

Again, not a single lie…

It’s Taylor Swift’s world. We’re all just lucky enough to live in it.
