Suge Knight’s murder trial finally has a date and it’s been set for later this year in September. This trial is going to be a total shit show for the media with cameras and reporters covering every detail.

In case you forgot, this trial is based around Suge Knight allegedly intentionally ramming his Ford F-150 truck into two people on the set of Straight Outta Compton back in January 2015. The video footage of Suge Knight ramming two men with his truck have been viewed millions of times online. You can easily find it on YouTube or TMZ if you haven’t seen that yet. In the incident, 55-year-old Terry Carter died from injuries sustained and Cle “Bone” Sloan survived.

While appearing in court on Monday, the judge told Suge Knight to come back to court in May, set the date for September 24th, and then the judge asked Suge Knight who he thinks will win the NBA Championship this season. Here’s what Suge Knight had to say (via LA Times):

A few minutes later, during a separate hearing in the criminal threats proceeding, another judge asked Knight to return to his courtroom in May. The judge then turned to Knight, asking who he thought would win the NBA playoffs.
“At this time…” Knight said, before the judge cut him off, saying he wanted a once-and-for-all answer.
“Houston,” Knight responded.
“Alright, Houston. Good pick,” the judge said.
Knight smiled. (via)

I’d ask if anyone really cares who Suge Knight things will win the NBA Championship but I guess I already know the answer to that question because the judge wanted to know.

I think it’s safe to say that this trial is going to be a complete media circus.
