Lane Kiffin broke his silence about Sydney Thomas and the DM she received from an unnamed college football coach in the SEC with a hilarious quip about Nick Saban. However, he neither confirmed nor denied whether he is the culprit…

The 49-year-old head coach at Ole Miss jokingly blamed it on his mentor, friend and former boss!

Thomas, a student at the University of Alabama, became an overnight sensation during the boxing match between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson on Netflix. She served as a ring girl for the fight and gained more than half a million followers on social media in less than 24 hours. A star was born.

As could be expected, Thomas’ inbox was flooded with all kinds of wild direct messages after more than 60 million households watched Tyson lose to Paul. One of them stood out above the rest.

She recently revealed that an active college football coach slid into her DMs with a ‘Roll Tide’ but would not share who. The coach does not work for Alabama but he does work in the SEC. It is unclear if he is a head coach or an assistant.

As the internet quickly jumped to conclusions about the coach in question, a leaked image from Snapchat appeared to provide an answer. Maddy Muir is one of Thomas’ close friends.

She allegedly posted a photo of Thomas’ DMs to her private story, which immediately became public through screenshot. It is not confirmed whether the image is real, but it seems to reveal the coach who sent the aforementioned “Roll Tide” to the viral ring girl.

Lane Kiffin did not initially comment on the allegations. He broke his silence on Monday night in response to a photo of Sydney Thomas and Nick Saban at Travis Scott’s charity golf tournament.
