Sylvester Stallone Confirms ‘Creed 2’ Is Happening And Teases Release Date

“Creed” pleasantly surprised critics and performed superbly at the box office reeling in $173.6 million. With that kind of success, it only means that a sequel is coming. Sylvester Stallone confirmed that there will be a “Creed 2” and it is coming next year. Stallone shared an image from the original “Creed” on his Instagram with the caption: “Getting stronger !!! 2018 #Creed 2 #mgm #fitness #Rocky”

Deadline reported this on how “Creed 2” could go down:

“Stallone has been busy writing the script for the next installment, which very well might place Michael B. Jordan’s Adonis Johnson Creed in the ring with the son of Ivan Drago, the Russian heavyweight who killed Apollo Creed in a brutal match in the 1985 film Rocky IV. Stallone has also teased that notion on his social media missives.”

The son versus son plotline is exactly what Doug pointed out in this article which featured photos of Dolph Lundgren working out with big plans to return as Ivan Drago.

Stallone also recently shared old photos from “Rocky,” which is what he does, focusing on actress Talia Shire who of course played Adrian.

“In walked Talia Shire and I knew instantly, before she said a word, that she was absolutely heaven sent. The perfect Adrian!!!,” Stallone wrote. “She was so smart, sensitive, and funny, that we all knew our search was over and her incredible performance would be one for the ages! Yo Adrian, you did it!”

“She was the heart and soul of all the Rocky movies and the reason they still continue today… Self respect and love !! Yo, Adrian , I miss ya,” Stallone said.
