Sydney Sweeney is one of the fastest-rising actresses in Hollywood thanks to recent performances in HBO hits such as Euphoria and The White Lotus.
Now looking to take a leap to a new level of stardom, the 25-year-old actress is set to feature alongside Top Gun: Maverick star Glen Powell in an upcoming rom-com that’s directed by Easy A and Friends With Benefits filmmaker Will Gluck.
Sweeney and her rom-com co-star have obviously been spending lots of time getting to know each other while shooting the film in Australia in recent weeks, as evidenced by this recent video of the pair that’s been going viral on Twitter.

How close the two have become clearly isn’t sitting well with Powell’s model girlfriend Gigi Paris, who has apparently unfollowed Sweeney on Instagram in recent days.
In addition to the still-untitled, Will Gluck-directed rom-com alongside Powell (which does not currently have a release date, either), Sweeney is currently attached to a bevy of projects that she’s likely hoping will continue to push her to the top of Hollywood’s A-list.
Not only does she have the third season of HBO’s hit series Euphoria coming up, but she’s also set to star in Sony’s Spider-Man spin-off Madame Web alongside Dakota Johnson, Emma Roberts, Isabela Merced, and Adam Scott.
Alongside Madame Web and the Gluck-helmed rom-com, the coming years will see Sweeney star in films such as Reaily, Americana, and Immaculate. Sweeney is also attached to additional projects such as Barbarella, Echo Valley, The Players Table, The Caretaker, and The Registration.
Previously, Sweeney — who is followed by over 14 million people on Instagram at the time of this writing — has starred in films such as Under the Silver Lake, Big Time Adolescence, Clementine, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Nocturne, The Voyeurs, and Night Teeth. She also made a handful of appearances in TV shows such as Pretty Little Liars, The Handmaid’s Tale, and Sharp Objects.
Her big break, though, came in 2019 when she was cast as Cassie Howard in HBO’s teen drama Euphoria, which has been one of the network’s biggest hits in recent years.
