Taylor Swift had a banner night at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards. The pop megastar took home a record fourth Album of the Year and announced a new album, The Tortured Poets Department, that will be released April 19.

But, she is under a good amount of social media criticism for what some are perceiving as Taylor Swift ignoring music legend Celine Dion, who presented the Album of the Year award.

Here’s the interaction, or lack thereof, after Dion announced the winner.

Yeah, she definitely doesn’t give Dion a lot of attention. But, a lot of things were happening all at once. Still, people were irate on Twitter.

Dion, who was diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome in December 2022, was making a rare public appearance since her diagnosis, and I think a lot of people were mad at Taylor Swift because of that diagnosis.

But, it all seems to be a whole lot of nothing. Soon after, pictures of the two backstage surfaced. It certainly seems like Dion didn’t take what happened very personally.

But, Swift is under an incredible microscope for a variety of reasons, and people can get a lot of traction on social media for throwing barbs at her.

In the meantime, she’s about to embark on four shows of her Eras Tour , and will head back to the USA next weekend to watch boyfriend Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs take on the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII. An Album of the Year and a Lombardi Trophy in one week? Not too shabby.
