Did Taylor Swift’s Sunday Night Football Appearance Hint At Big New Movie Role?

We already know that Taylor Swift is set for the silver screen later this year.

That much was known just over a month ago when news broke that her legendary Eras Tour concerts were being turned into a movie.

The movie is already projected to eclipse other blockbusters such as Guardians of the Galaxy 3, John Wick 4 and Oppenheimer’s opening weekends.

But is Swift also set to make her theatrical return to the big screen at some point in the near future?

The pop superstar was seen walking into Sunday night’s NFL game between the Kansas City Chiefs and New York Jets alongside both Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, among others.

Reynolds is set to star in the upcoming “Deadpool 3” movie by Marvel Studios. While Jackman will also appear in the film, reviving his role at Wolverine.

But where does Swift factor into the discussion?

Well, some keen MCU fans believe that she could well be cast in the role of Dazzler in the forthcoming blockbuster.

It would mark the character’s debut in the MCU and, frankly, fit Swift perfectly.

“Dazzler is a Human Mutant with the ability to transduce sound into light, which often forces her into reluctant superheroism. She is also a retired pop star and reality TV star,” Fandom.com says of the character.

It didn’t take long for fans to run wild with speculation.

“She there with Deadpool and Wolverine bruh just cast her as Dazzler already @Kevfeige. Issa no brainer. Then have Taylor do the Soundtrack and watch the money come in. This was LITERALLY WHAT DAZZLER WAS CREATED FOR: to sell movies and music,” Twitter user @UpToTASK wrote.

While others were a bit more hopeful.

“Manifesting Taylor Swift as Dazzler in Deadpool 3,” @ThatChristinaG said.

Swift’s latest film credits include cameo appearance in “Amsterdam” (2022) and “Cats” (2019). Both of which were in cameo roles.

But is it time for Taylor to finally have her starring role in theaters? Only time will tell.
