Taylor Swift is officially bigger than the Super Bowl.

At least, that’s according to a report to a report from Hits Daily Double which claims that Swift turned down the opportunity to headline the Super Bowl 58 halftime show in Las Vegas.

“Taylor Swift, who would be a logical choice given her mind-blowingly successful year, has supposedly passed,” the report states. “We don’t know if this is just spin from Swift Nation HQ and she wants a big check from the NFL rather than incurring the substantial cost of mounting the show.”

As stated, artists are often responsible for paying for production costs of the show rather than the NFL. Which has been an issue for some in the past.

But it’s also not the first time Swift has been linked with the famous gigs.

Fans freaked out last year when it appeared that Swift may be the headlining act of Super Bowl 57’s halftime.

That hype came from NFL’s deal with with Apple Music a curious press release.

Ultimately, that never came to fruition. Instead, it was Rihanna who highlighted the Super Bowl 57 halftime show.
Now it appears Swifties will have to wait at least one more year until they see the pop icon on a Super Bowl stage. Though if and when she does, they will undoubtedly be there.
