Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift are best friends of almost 20 years. However, it did not appear as though Benny Blanco was with his wife as she attended the rehearsal dinner at Madison Square Garden on Thursday night.
Why? We don’t know.
Perhaps there is more to the story. Most everything surrounding this high-profile wedding weekend has been kept a secret and we do not have many details about who was in invited or who showed up.
Taylor Swift is getting married at Madison Square Garden, allegedly.
The biggest pop star on the planet is getting married on July 3, 2026. We do know that.
Well, they are having a wedding. We don’t know if they already went down to the courthouse or if they got married in a church or at a small, private ceremony prior to the big show this weekend. My wife and I were technically “married” prior to our actual wedding ceremony. Maybe that is the case here. I digress.
Taylor Swift and Kelce are celebrating their nuptials in New York City on July 3. The rehearsal dinner supposedly took place at the same location on July 2. Both events are said to be taking place at Madison Square Garden.
Kelce’s NFL teammates booked a bunch of hotel rooms in the area. There is a huge security lockdown around the perimeter of the world’s most famous arena. Equipment was delivered to the loading dock throughout the week.
As was the food.
According to reports, the wedding will take place on Friday afternoon with ~1,000 guests expected to attend. The rehearsal dinner reportedly took place at the Infosys Theater inside MSG on Thursday night. It was lit up in a color that is very specific to Swift.
Approximately 1,000 guests are expected to attend the wedding on Friday. Doors will open at 3:30 p.m. with a cocktail hour at 4:00 p.m. and the ceremony at 5:30 p.m. The party could last until 4:00 a.m. the next morning. We’ll see…
Where is Benny Blanco?!
E! News and TMZ captured photos of the alleged rehearsal dinner guests on Thursday evening. Many of them stayed at the nearby Ritz Carlton hotel. Among them were Erin Andrews, Bradley Cooper, Lena Dunham, Charissa Thompson, Jack Antonoff and his sister, Travis Kelce’s best friend, Taylor Swift’s childhood best friend, and her publicist. Of course, their families were there too.
Selena Gomez was also in attendance on Thursday. She and Swift have been friends since 2008 when they were both dating a member of the Jonas Brothers. They’re more like sisters at this point. Even the song ‘Dorthea’ is about Gomez.
Swift was by Gomez’s side at her wedding to Benny Blanco.
However, it does not appear as though Blanco was with Gomez at Swift’s rehearsal dinner. What gives?
Gomez posted the following photo to her Instagram story on Thursday afternoon:
She lated followed it up with a video from the back of black SUV, presumably on her way to the rehearsal dinner. Blanco did not seem to be with her.

Where is her husband? That is a great question. Blanco famously does not fly, so perhaps the road trip to New York took longer than planned. However, he posted a TikTok video on Thursday morning to promote his new book. He ate a New York bagel…
Does that mean he is in New York City but didn’t go to the rehearsal dinner with Gomez at Madison Square Garden? I don’t know.
I highly doubt that he was not invited. Maybe he had a business obligation. Maybe he is on a deadline to finish an album.
Or, maybe he actually did attend the rehearsal dinner and this is much ado about nothing. Gomez’s post implies otherwise but the whole thing is a mystery. Where the heck is Benny Blanco?!
