Even Warner Bros. knows that the DC Movie Universe has been less than stellar over the past few years (Wonder Woman notwithstanding). Which makes it even funnier that the wisecracking Teen Titans skewer various parts of that universe in the new full trailer and character posters for their upcoming feature film Teen Titans GO! To The Movies.

In this first full trailer, the Teen Titans take aim, as only they can, at all sorts of DC Comics characters and projects including the failed Green Lantern movie, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, and the fact that Deadpool has significantly overtaken his DC Comics counterpart Deathstroke when it comes to popularity.

Of course, as is the case on their Cartoon Network show, the real butt of the jokes is the Titans themselves. At one point Superman, PLAYED BY NICOLAS CAGE(!), tells the Titans,”You guys are never actually doing anything heroic.” And he’s right, which spurs the Teen Titans to go out to try and find someone to be their arch-nemesis, who turns out to be SLADE, I mean Deathstroke, played by Will Arnett.

The rest of the cast includes Greg Cipes as Beast Boy, Scott Menville as Robin, Khary Payton as Cyborg, Tara Strong as Raven, and Hynden Walch as Starfire, Lil Yachty as Green Lantern, Halsey as Wonder Woman, James Corden as Balloon Man and Kristen Bell as Jade Wilson.

When the Teen Titans go to the big screen, they go big! “Teen Titans GO! to the Movies” finds our egocentric, wildly satirical Super Heroes in their first feature film extravaganza—a fresh, gleefully clever, kid-appropriately crass and tongue-in-cheek play on the superhero genre, complete with musical numbers.

It seems to the Teens that all the major superheroes out there are starring in their own movies—everyone but the Teen Titans, that is! But de facto leader Robin is determined to remedy the situation, and be seen as a star instead of a sidekick. If only they could get the hottest Hollywood film director to notice them. With a few madcap ideas and a song in their heart, the Teen Titans head to Tinsel Town, certain to pull off their dream. But when the group is radically misdirected by a seriously Super-Villain and his maniacal plan to take over the Earth, things really go awry. The team finds their friendship and their fighting spirit failing, putting the very fate of the Teen Titans themselves on the line!

Teen Titans GO! To The Movies hits theaters July 27, 2018.
