Car inside grocery store next to man who needs to go to the bathroom
No one wants to be stuck in the middle of nowhere with no place to do your business when nature calls. However, one man in Texas went a bit too far while trying to solve that issue by driving his car through the front door of a grocery store.
There’s only so much you can do to predict when you’re going to need to go to the bathroom, and that reality can lead to some uncomfortable situations when you’re not in close proximity to a place where you can attend to that particular need.
It’s a bit easier to solve that problem if you’re in a car when your bladder or bowels come knocking, but you still have to track down a place to stop in a world where standalone public bathrooms are relatively few and far between.
Most businesses will let you do your business, but it sort of goes without saying that they need to be open if you want to capitalize on that particular opportunity. That was not the case with a grocery store that one man in Texas was hoping to take advantage of, and he ended up getting arrested due to the questionable strategy he deployed.
Police in Texas arrested a man who drove through the front door of a Kroger because he needed to use the restroom
According to Fox26, police in Rosenberg, Texas were dispatched to a Kroger on Sunday morning and were greeted by an unexpected sight: a car that ended up inside the store after crashing through multiple sliding doors.
According to a post the department shared on Facebook, an unidentified 60-year-old man drove what appeared to be a Chevrolet HHR into the store at 4:28 A.M. after discovering the doors were locked, telling officers that the decision stemmed from his need to go to the bathroom.
It’s unclear if he was able to complete that mission before police arrived on the scene, but he was arrested and charged with criminal mischief after causing “extensive damage” to the entrance.
The Kroger in question is located directly next to a hotel that would presumably have been a better option, and there is also a gas station located around a minute away that is open 24 hours a day.
