Man Shares A New Way To Eat Texas Roadhouse Rolls. Does That Mean They’re Healthy Now?

Over the years, the warm, sweet, buttery bread rolls at Texas Roadhouse have developed a cult-like following. While customers tend to enjoy these rolls in their classic form, it hasn’t stopped others from concocting their own creative twists to the restaurant staple.

For instance, one customer prefers his rolls grilled. Another learned, through his server, how to transform the leftover rolls into French toast.

One man just revealed how to transform them into a delicious DIY sandwich.

“Guys, if you’ve ever been to Texas Roadhouse, you need to try this,” TikTok creator Ricky (@rickyvalentinn) says, sitting inside a Texas Roadhouse, panning the camera over to each item on his table. “Get one of the rolls, put butter in it, and then put your Caesar salad in it.”

The content creator raved about it in the caption, writing, “It’s so good idc.”

‘I Do This At Red Lobster’

Ricky’s hack racked up over 136,000 views, and many shared that they plan to try this during their next Texas Roadhouse visit.

“Omg. Saving this for next time I go,” one viewer commented.

“Great… a new pregnancy craving,” another commented.

A viewer who claims to be a Texas Roadhouse server called this their go-to option, writing, “I work there & [have been] doing it for years!”

Others shared how they build their own improvised salad sandwiches at different restaurant chains.

“My version is at Olive Garden with their salad and breadsticks,” one commenter shared.

“I do this at red lobster, order the salad without croutons and break some biscuits on top instead,” a second revealed.

A third even recommended, “U should try the panera salad stuffer sandwiches if u like this.”

Is This Texas Roadhouse Roll Sandwich Healthy?

There’s a common misconception that salads are automatically a healthier alternative. However, this can be far from the truth.

While salads can be a nutritional dish depending on the ingredients you choose to put in it, many fast-food restaurants turn them into a caloric and sodium-packed meals due to the dressings, cheeses, and various toppings they are loaded with. The Caesar salad at Texas Roadhouse starts at 440 calories. This side dish (though it can be ordered as an entree) contains romaine lettuce, parmesan cheese, croutons, and Caesar dressing. In fact, The Takeout states this salad has almost double the sodium and calories of the traditional House Salad.
