The First Reactions To ‘The Batman’ Have Hit The Internet: ‘Euphoric’, ‘Sensational’

First Reactions To 'The Batman' Released Online: 'Euphoric', 'Sensational'

Warner Bros.

  • Reviews for The Batman aren’t scheduled to be released until February 28.
  • However, MTV UK has shared a video of reactions from British websites.
  • The reviews of Matt Reeves’ take on the Dark Knight are glowing thus far.

The embargo for social reactions and reviews for The Batman doesn’t lift until February 28 at 12 p.m. EST. How do I know this? Because that’s when my review, which I can’t wait for y’all to read, will publish at that exact time.

Despite this fact, though, MTV UK has published a video on Instagram — which remains live at the time of this writing — that features first reactions from British websites such as Empire and Unilad, and thus far, the reviews of The Batman are glowing.

Hanna Flint of MTV Movies says that “Matt Reeves delivers a nail-biting and fun Batman coming of age story.” Unilad has described the film as “absolutely euphoric” while Total Film says that the movie is “sensational.” Empire Magazine certainly agrees as they call The Batman “gripping”, while Insider claims that “Robert Pattinson will be your new favorite Batman.”

Unfortunately, given that the embargo has yet to be officially lifted here in the United States, I simply cannot confirm nor deny whether the reviews from these blokes across the pond are accurate, so make sure to check back here Monday morning for my thoughts.
