The Batman: Part II has been delayed again, getting bumped from October 2027 to February 2028. That would mark almost six years after the release of The Batman in March 2022.
In an apparent effort to quell fans’ frustration at news of yet another delay, The Batman: Part II director Matt Reeves shared the first footage of Robert Pattinson in the suit from the highly-anticipated film.

In his previous teases of the film, Reeves has hinted at The Batman: Part II being set in a snow-covered Gotham City and this new test footage seems to confirm that aesthetic.
The first official release date for The Batman: Part II was announced in January 2023, when Warner Bros. dated the film for October 3, 2025. By March, however, the film was delayed a year to October 2, 2026. By December 2024, the film was again delayed another year to October 1, 2027.
On Wednesday, July 15, it was reported that The Batman: Part II will now be released in movie theaters on February 18, 2028.
In addition to the first footage from the film, Reeves also unveiled the official logo for the project.

Alongside Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne/Batman, The Batman: Part II also stars the returning Jeffrey Wright as Jim Gordon, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as Oz Cobb/The Penguin, and new cast members Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Charles Dance, and Brian Tyree Henry.
While Dance’s role of Charles Dent (Harvey Den’t father), has been confirmed, the parts of Oscar nominees Johansson and Stan have been more mysterious. Although there have been reports that Stan in playing Harvey Dent — the Gotham City district attorney that becomes the villain Two-Face — speculation about his shaved head and face, and his comments about getting in shape for the role, has prompted speculation he could be playing the serial killer Victor Zsasz.
After for Johansson, potential characters fans believe she could be playing have ranged from Harvey Dent’s wife to Andrea Beaumont from Mask of the Phantasm to the most recent rumors suggesting she’s playing Poison Ivy.
