'The Batman: Part II' is currently filming in Glasgow, and Scots are trying to leave their mark
The Batman: Part II is currently filming in Glasgow, where director Matt Reeves has transformed the city’s streets into a snow-covered Gotham. The locals have responded with a bit of cheeky Scottish humor by trying to sneak cans of Irn-Bru into the background of the movie.
Seemingly trying to recreate the infamous Starbucks cup-in-Game of Thrones moment from the series’ much-maligned final season, a visitor to the set of The Batman: Part II shared on social media that a security team member told them the production has to sweep the set every night in search of Irn-Bru cans — Scotland’s beloved orange soft drink that has been a national institution since 1901.
According to the security team, the cans keep popping up in the bins and hot dog stands in an effort to sneak Scotland’s favorite beverage into the background of a major Hollywood blockbuster.

“They have to search the set for Irn-Bru cans every night because the locals are trying to sneak one into the film and they keep popping up in the bins and hot dog stands,” the post explained.
