The first teaser trailer for the Showtime series The Curse has been released.

Created by Nathan Fielder and Benny Safdie, the pair star in the Showtime project alongside Academy Award-winning actress Emma Stone. Stone stars in the show as Whitney Siegel, the wife of Fielder’s character whom she costs an HGTV show with.

The Curse, which was produced by A24, will be premiering on Showtime on Friday, November 10. Check out the first official teaser below.

Here is the official synopsis for The Curse, which will consist of 10 episodes, via Showtime:

The Curse is a genre-bending series that explores how an alleged curse disturbs the relationship of a newly married couple as they try to conceive a child while co-starring in their new home-improvement show.

Having last appeared in 2021’s Cruella, The Curse isn’t the only project that Stone is starring in this year as she’s also featured in Yorgos Lanthimos’ new film Poor Things, which already has some in the industry saying she could compete for another Best Actress Oscar next year.

In the coming years, Stone is also attached to another Lanthimos film, And, and a sequel to Cruella.

As for Fielder, who was most recently seen starring in the docu-comedy series The Rehearsal, which was released on HBO in July 2022 and was renewed for a second season shortly thereafter.

Safdie is also coming off a successful 2023, as he had a key role as Edward Teller in Christopher Nolan’s mega-hit Oppenheimer, which grossed over $900 million at the global box office. Earlier this year, Safdie also had a role in the well-received coming-of-age comedy Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret.
