As the entertainment industry exponentially expands, so does its constant coverage — blogs, podcasts, YouTube shows, and magazines to cover every episode, casting announcement, trailer, and movie release that happens during the course of the week.

Add in all of those “New On Netflix This Week” articles out there and the influx of information for the average pop culture nerd can become overwhelming.

But what if someone fixed that? What if someone compiled all of the must-see trailers, all of the trendiest rumors, all of the pending release dates, all of the most-fuego latest gear into one easy-to-consume article?

What if the hero we deserve and the hero we need is actually just a weekly entertainment newsletter?

Wonder no more, because The Hot Box Office is here.

Throwback Watch of the Week

Breaking Bad

Official Synopsis: “Set in Albuquerque, New Mexico between 2008 and 2010, Breaking Bad follows Walter White as he is transformed from a meek high school science teacher who wants to provide for his family into a ruthless player in the local methamphetamine drug trade as a result of being diagnosed with terminal lung cancer.”

Our Review: Following the release of the teaser trailer for El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie, I immediately felt the urge to rewatch Breaking Bad for the fourth time (the first time live, two previous rewatches, and now this fourth rewatch). And let me tell you, it’s truly incredible how well this show holds up upon repeat viewings.

Even if you’ve seen the show before and are well aware of what’s to come, Breaking Bad is still as gripping and enthralling as any show that has ever existed. And that is a testament to how truly great Breaking Bad is: even when you know what’s next, you still can’t wait to see it unfold.

Netflix Gem of the Week

Dave Chappelle: Sticks & Stones

Official Synopsis: “Dave Chappelle takes on gun culture, the opiod crisis and the tidal wave of celebrity scandals in a defiant stand-up special filmed in Atlanta.”

Our Review: While Chappelle’s fifth Netflix stand-up may be the weakest of the bunch, Chappelle on his worst day still reaches heights that most comics can only dream of, making Sticks & Stones essential viewing.
