New Trailer For ‘The Marvels’ Seems To Thirstily Tease The X-Men

The latest teaser for The Marvels seems to include a brief yet obvious hint to the X-Men.

In a teaser for the film titled “What Comes Next”, the X in the phrase lingers on the screen for an additional moment, similar to how the X logo on the 20th Century Fox logo used to do the same prior to the start of X-Men movies.

The apparent X-Men teaser comes the same week as a bombshell report from Variety revealed that, among other things, Marvel Studios is bracing for the film to be another letdown, as it’s currently tracking to make about $75 million in its opening weekend at the domestic box office.

In recent weeks, there have been rumors that The Marvels includes a post-credit scene that features Kelsey Grammer’s Beast from the 2006 film X-Men: The Last Stand.

Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe.

In addition to the Academy Award-winning Brie Larson in the lead role, The Marvels also stars Iman Vellani, Teyonah Parris, Samuel L. Jackson, Zawe Ashton, Park Seo-joon, Gary Lewis, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Saagar Shaikh, Lashana Lynch, Randall Park, Daniel Ings, Colin Stoneley, Shamier Anderson, and more.

The film, which will be hitting movie theaters in the United States on Friday, November 10, is directed by Nia DaCosta, who has previously helmed the films Little Woods and Candyman.

The Marvels is the third and final Marvel Cinematic Universe film of 2023, following Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3.
