The world today is a very different place than it was when fans were introduced to Jon Bernthal’s incredible portrayal of the comic book vigilante Frank Castle, AKA The Punisher, during season two of Daredevil.

Which is pretty amazing considering that season was released barely a year and a half ago.

However, with so many Americans angry at what has been taking place in this country, and with tragedies like the mass shooting in Las Vegas, the United States has been on an edge that many American citizens have never experienced before.

Which is why, despite fans of The Punisher previously being very excited about the character getting his own show, there has been a lot of trepidation surrounding now, even leading Netflix to cancel their panel for the show at New York Comic Con earlier this month.

However, as they say, the show must go on and as such Netflix today released the second official trailer for the show along with the long-awaited premiere date: November 17, 2017.

There hasn’t been much of a plot synopsis released thus far other than, “Frank Castle, known throughout New York City as “the Punisher” after exacting revenge on those responsible for the death of his family, uncovers a larger conspiracy beyond what was done to him and his family.”

Check out the new trailer and some other promotional material that gives us a little more insight on what to expect from the upcoming show…
