It’s difficult to imagine how someone could not like Rebecca Ferguson.

Not only is she an insanely talented actress and a bada– action star, but she also seems like a genuinely fun person, as evidenced by her demeanor virtually every time she’s on the red carpet.

Apparently, though, one of her former co-stars had a real problem with her, as the Dune: Part Two star recently detailed her nightmare experience working with an unnamed lead actor on a recent project.

While Ferguson did not say who the actor was, she did confirm that it’s neither Tom Cruise (Mission: Impossible) nor Hugh Jackman (The Greatest Showman and Reminiscence).

“I did a film with an absolute idiot of a costar,” she said in a recent interview on the Reign with Josh Smith podcast. “I remember there was a moment and this human being was being so insecure and angry because this person couldn’t get the scenes out. But because this person was No. 1 on a call sheet, there was no safety net for me. So no one had my back. And I would cry walking off set.”

“This person would literally look at me in front of the whole crew and say ‘You call yourself an actor? This is what I have to work with? What is this?’ And I stood there just breaking.”

“I remember being so scared,” Ferguson said of preparing to stand up for herself. “I looked at this person, and I said, ‘You can F off. I’m going to work toward a tennis ball. I never want to see you again.'”

While some movie fans on social media thought she might be talking about Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, whom she co-starred with in 2014’s Hercules, the mega-star was quick to chime in on social media and come to Ferguson’s defense, saying he’d like to find out who she was talking about.

“Hate seeing this but love seeing her stand up to bullshit. Rebecca was my guardian angel sent from heaven on our set. I love that woman. I’d like to find out who did this,” Johnson tweeted in reply to the clip of Ferguson telling the story.

Other actors that have been speculated as being who she is talking about are Ewan McGregor, her Doctor Sleep co-star, Jake Gyllenhaal, who she co-starred with in 2017’s Life, and Michael Fassbender, who she featured alongside in The Snowman that same year.

She was also in 2016’s The Girl on the Train, which starred Emily Blunt, and Florence Foster Jenkins, which had Meryl Strep in the lead role.
