The Sphere in Las Vegas is located about three miles from Allegiant Stadium, which will host Super Bowl LVIII in less than three weeks. You can no longer tell the story of Sin City without its newest entertainment venue, which continues to go viral on social media on the daily.

As a result, CBS is making sure that the Sphere will play a role in its coverage of the Big Game! The Paramount-owned broadcast network is going to set up shop in front of The Fountains of Bellagio for all of its various programming for a week-long residency.

Here is a list of the groups that are set to travel to Nevada in February:

  • The NFL Today
  • Super Bowl Live
  • CBS Sports HQ
  • NFL Monday QB
  • That Other Pregame Show
  • We Need To Talk
  • The Jim Rome Show
  • Time To Schein
  • CBS Mornings
  • CBS Saturday Morning
  • CBS Evening News With Norah O’Donnell
  • CBS Stations And Affiliates
  • The Talk
  • The Drew Barrymore Sshow
  • Entertainment Tonight
  • Inside Edition

Things will come to a conclusion with a seven-hour pregame marathon before kickoff.

Part of the residency will include some kind of something with the Sphere, though it isn’t exactly clear as to what it could be. That part is being kept a secret, though CBS Sports chairman Sean McManus gave a hint!

We’re talking about doing something with the Sphere in terms of video being on the outside that we could shoot as scenics.

CBS will have four outdoor sets spread across Las Vegas, with the main one on The Strip. Perhaps one will be set up outside the Sphere? We don’t know.

Either way, McManus ensured that his NFL broadcast (and other shows throughout the week) will feature the giant glowing orb of LED lights in one way or another. It would be silly not to!

CBS last televised the Super Bowl in 2021 and drew viewership of 96.4 million. McManus expects that this year’s game will draw more than 100 million viewers!
