Tom Cruise’s Earnings From ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ Have Been Reported And They’re A Doozy

Report: Tom Cruise Will Earn North Of $100 Million For 'Top Gun: Maverick'

Despite now being 60-years-old, Tom Cruise’s A-list career isn’t showing any signs of slowing down as his most recent film, the long-awaited Top Gun: Maverick, rapidly became the most successful film of the actor’s five-decade-spanning career.

Reports indicate that Tom Cruise will earn “north” of $100 million for Top Gun: Maverick

Back in early July, a report from Puck News indicated that Cruise could earn in the neighborhood for $50-$60 million for Top Gun: Maverick. However, a new report from Variety suggests that the Hollywood legend will actually be earning north of $100 million.

The report from Variety details other notable Hollywood salaries, such as the $20 million that Joaquin Phoenix will be paid for the sequel to Joker, which was confirmed to be in the works earlier this summer.

Given the rampant success of Top Gun: Maverick, it’s natural that speculation about whether or not a third film in the franchise will happen has already begun. Asked about it during a recent interview, Miles Teller, who starred in the film as Rooster, said that he and Cruise have had discussions about it.

Ultimately, it feels like if Cruise wants a third Top Gun to happen, it will. With the actor now in his sixties, though, the physical demands of making another fighter pilot movie means it’ll likely need to happen sooner rather than later.

Following Top Gun: Maverick, Cruise will next be starring in Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, which will hit theaters next summer after originally being scheduled to release this year. That will then be followed by the eighth film in the franchise, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two.
