Tony Hawk Joins Goldfinger To Sing ‘Superman’ In Front Of A Roaring Crowd

Everyone has that ‘one thing’ they were extraordinarily good at. For me, it was Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater (1 and 2).

Every day I’d come home from school and fire up my N64 and put in a solid 90 minutes of playtime before I had to leave for crew practice. And by the time I left for rowing, I’d have this indecipherable carousel of like 5 different songs from the Pro Skater soundtracks playing in my head at the same time.

This moment on stage at the House of Blues in Anaheim, California unlocked a core memory for me. It brought back all of those great feelings from a time when life was a lot less complicated.

Tony Hawk joined Goldfinger on stage to perform ‘Superman’ and the crowd absolutely loses it:

Here is another version from TikTok that was shared on Uproxx alongside some tweets:

For anyone who needs a refresher:

It is worth noting here that Tony Hawk is actually jumping around on stage at several points. This is a HUGE development for him.

Tony had his femur surgically realigned in early December and had been walking with a cane. But he’s clearly very mobile on stage so the healing appears to be progressing nicely:

Professional Skateboarders Take Over Abandoned Airport To Recreate Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater Level IRL

Red Bull previously linked up with some of the best skateboarders in the world to bring that video game experience to life.

Jake Wooten, Kareem Campbell (who’s in the game itself), Alex Sorgente, Brighton Zuener, and Vincent Matheron took over the  Old New Orleans airport to shoot the video. The abandoned airport makes for the perfect skatepark, dubbed the Red Bull Terminal Takeover.

“Everything I’ve seen here has blown my mind,” Kareem Campbell offered in a press release. “From the course, to the tarmac, to the Red Bull plane and the jam session… it’s unreal. It’s something I don’t think anyone can recreate, except in a video game.”

Check out the video. What a sick collab.
