A Remaster Of ‘Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater’ Is Reportedly In The Works

Activision

Finally, some good news!

For the first time since 2015’s Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5, a new game in the franchise is reportedly in the works, as there are rumors that a remaster of the original beloved game is currently in development.

The latest report comes by way of industry insider, The Gaming Revolution – a prominent Call Of Duty leaker – and his most recent intel claims that a Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater remaster is in active development right now.

As you probably already know, this isn’t the first time we’ve heard talk of a possible Tony Hawk remake/remaster. We reported a few months back that Tony Hawk’s 1 and 2 remakes were rumored to be in the works, but by the sound of things, it’s looking more and more likely that these unofficial rumblings may actually come to fruition. Originally released for the PlayStation in 1999, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater went on to become one of the most iconic video games franchises of the late  90s and early 2000s, as its various levels and soundtrack are still discussed on the internet today. In total, 17 Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater games were released between 1999 and 2015.

With the next generation of gaming consoles set to be released later this year, it makes sense that remakes of iconic games from a bygone era such as Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater are currently being explored. Fingers crossed this one comes to fruition.
