Trailer For Next Week’s ‘Game Of Thrones’ Episode May Hint At Death Of New/Old Character

The trailer for next week’s “Game of Thrones” episode features Jon Snow and his merry men going north of the Wall to snag a wight as proof of the Night King’s army of dead. In Episode 6 of Season 7, the Magnificent Seven of “Game of Thrones,” Thoros of Myr, Beric Dondarrion, the Hound, Gendry Waters, Ser Jorah Mormont, Tormund, and Jon Snow are ready to throw down. The 71-minute-long penultimate episode shows Suicide Squad/Avengers of “GoT” doing battle with White Walkers in a frozen battlefield.

Redditor pepperedpete noticed that Sandor Clegane was using Gendry’s war hammer, which begs the question: what happened to Gendry?!?!

The Hound had been seen with an axe as his chosen weapon since last season.

However, the Hound goes into next week’s epic battle against the living dead with a sword.

Gendry showed off his war hammer to Davos in Flea Bottom and then demonstrated his face-rearranging weapon on two gold cloaks.

Then here’s a screenshot of the Hound using what certainly looks like Gendry’s hammer.

The only possible difference is that the hammer the Hound is wielding appears to be a wood handle, whereas Gendry’s looks like it has a leather wrap around the handle.

So did Sandor get an axe from a wight or did Gendry lose his hammer in the snow and is in the battle weaponless or was Gendry killed in the battle and the Hound picked up the war hammer to bludgeon zombies?

You’d think with all that rowing, Gendry would be jacked enough to smash all of the skeletons with ease.
