The Kansas City Chiefs had their bye week last week after playing overseas in Germany and Travis Kelce used his time off to visit his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, in Buenos Aires, Argentina where she was performing a leg of her Eras Tour.

On the latest episode of New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce (Presented by Wave Sports + Entertainment), Jason Kelce prodded his brother about not wanting to share his personal life. Travis Kelce made it clear that there are parts of his private life he won’t discuss but being in Buenos Aires at Taylor Swift‘s Eras Tour concert was a very public event and he’s fine talk about that.

It was Travis Kelce‘s first-ever time being south of the equator anywhere in the world. So that was a new experience for him. He said he’d planned on arriving for Taylor Swift’s second show in Buenos Aires but that got rained out but it got postponed for 24 hours due to lightning because Taylor’s entire stage is an LED screen and that doesn’t mesh well with lightning.

Travis Kelce said Taylor Swift “kind of prides herself on performing through weather or rain and things like that but when it’s unsafe to her and her crew and everybody in the stadium you gotta do what you gotta do.” He said everyone who missed out was accommodated to go on Sunday and added “it ended up being perfect.”

It’s actually quite funny to see these two professional athletes and brothers, guys who play games in front of 60,000+ fans every weekend, having no real clue what goes into postponing an event of that scale.

Travis Kelce also didn’t remember the name of the stadium and said it ‘looked like a soccer stadium.’ For what it’s worth, the stadium is Estadio River Plate stadium which has an 84K+ capacity and it’s the home of the Lionel Messi and the Argentinian National Team. Kelce said there were around 70,000 fans at the event.

Swifties went NUTS for Travis Kelce’s presence at Taylor’s show. Saying they ‘went nuts’ is an understatement. If you opened up TikTok on Sunday it was 50% videos of Taylor Swift changing they lyrics to a song to shout out Travis Kelce or her running up to kiss him after the concert:

Speaking about the show, Travis Kelce said “I was blown away. I was blown away. It was an ELECTRIC crowd too. And for everybody that went to those shows, Taylor was on record saying that it was one of her favorite places to play.”

Travis Kelce’s ‘Guy On The Chiefs’ Shoutout From Taylor Swift

Jason Kelce then brought up Travis getting a shout out. He asked his brother “how does it feel to officially be ‘the guy on the Chiefs'” which Taylor name checked in ‘Karma’.

Travis first said he “had no clue” it was coming but then said he “might’ve had some clue.” But added that “when (he) heard it come out of her mouth it still shocked (him).” His response was “ohhh, she really just said that, alright.”

Jason Kelce used the opportunity to call out his brother’s faux pas. Taylor Swift’s dad, Scott, was looking for a high five from Travis Kelce after the ‘Karma’ shout out and Travis just left him hanging. That’s Bro Code 101 right there, you don’t leave another bro hanging, especially not your girlfriend’s dad. But Travis Kelce was clearly shellshocked in the moment so Scott Swift gave him a pass.

Travis was down on himself about that. Saying he never misses a high five. Calling it “the most electric thing you can do” at an event.
