Travis Kelce is the most popular man in the NFL this season after Taylor Swift put him on the map. (If you aren’t familiar with the viral TikTok trend, that’s a joke.)

Kansas City’s 34-year-old tight end has dominated headlines over the last two months, but it really dates back to when the rumors started swirling during the offseason. And then Swift showed up to support Kelce at Arrowhead Stadium before soon returning to her second Chiefs game with a star-studded entourage at Sunday Night Football in New Jersey last weekend.

Even though there is a contingency of NFL fans who are exhausted by all of the coverage, ‘Swelce’ is one of the biggest crossover events in pop culture history. It’s been two weeks and it’s all that anybody is talking about— even if it is strictly for SEO purposes.

Meanwhile, Kelce has also been in the headlines for something of a beef (?) with Aaron Rodgers. The former is featured in a new commercial for Pfizer. The latter is notoriously skeptical of big pharma.

Rodgers recently called Kelce ‘Mr. Pfizer,’ which forced the tight end to respond. He did so with grace and did not appear to have any direct issue with the four-time NFL MVP or his stance.

There is definitely some tension there, but Kelce doesn’t seem to care. His life is pretty great right now, outside of the paparazzi following and photographing his every move.

After barely scraping by with a win over the Jets in Week 4, the Chiefs are 3-1. They face the Vikings in Minnesota in Week 5 so Minneapolis greeted Kelce with a pair of billboards upon arrival.

One made a Taylor Swift joke.

The other made a Pfizer joke.

Minnesota hit Travis Kelce with the ole double-whammy. The city jumped all over the latest chatter and got him from both sides. Hopefully it doesn’t backfire!
