Travis Kelce’s ex-girlfriend Maya Benberry spoke to the media this week as a result of the Taylor Swift-driven and used the opportunity to fire a warning shot at Kelce.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Benberry “advised her to be smart” as she believes Travis Kelce is still a “cheater.”
The 31-year-old Benberry dated the future Hall of Fame tight end for a few months in 2016 after she won the E! channel reality competition dating series Catching Kelce.
“Taylor seems like such a fun girl with a beautiful spirit so I wish her the best of luck but I wouldn’t be a girls’ girl if I didn’t advise her to be smart!… Only time will tell but like the saying always goes, once a cheater, always a cheater.” [via Daily Mail]
Swift made tons of headlines over the weekend when she showed up at the Chiefs home matchup against the Chicago Bears.
Prior to Swift showing up at Sunday’s game, Kelce had been publicly flirting with the pop star, as he told a story on his podcast about going to her concert and trying to give her a bracelet earlier this summer.
A few weeks later, reports began to trickle out that the pair were seeing each other, which led to both Travis and his brother Jason Kelce playing coy with the media during the week leading up to the Bears game.
After Swift appeared at the Chiefs” 41-10 beatdown of the lowly Chicago Bears, she was then seen leaving the game with Kelce before the two were spotted driving around Kansas City in Kelce’s retro 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle convertible.
This weekend, the Chiefs are heading to New York City to take on the Jets for Sunday Night Football, so it’ll certainly be interesting to see whether Swift makes an appearance in the Big Apple, too.
